Unit Information

• Beds: 19 Main PACU + 4 Atrium PACU beds

• Staff: 13 Full-Time staff

• Staff Types: RNs, Clinical Coordinator, Department Assistants

• Patient Ratios:

  • 2:1 standard

  • 1:1 for unstable ICU patients

  • 1:1 for pediatric patients

• EMR: Meditech

• Equipment: Ventilators, Philips and Client monitors, Sigma Spectrum pumps

Shift Information

Day Shift

• 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:00 PM waterfall schedule

• 9-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts

Night Shift

• On call after 9:30 PM

Typical Hiring Profile

Must-Have Qualifications

Candidates without the following skills will not be considered:

• PACU or ICU experience

• Strong neuro background

• Ventilator competency

Preferred Skills

• ICU or PACU experience

• Drip titration

• Neurosurgery experience

Typical Procedures

• PCA pump setup

• Drip titration

• Arterial line blood draws

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• PALS
• BLS

Weekends & Call

• Weekday Call: 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM

• Weekend Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

• Call rotates among staff
