Pre-Op/PACU Clinical Coordinator, RN - East Side ASC

Clinical Coordinator

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the Perioperative Unit, the Clinical Coordinator provides care of patients within the Pre-Op/PACU Department. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area. This position is also responsible for duties outlined in the staff registered nurse job description: professional nursing care and related assistance to patients, providing direction to licensed vocational nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program and three years of recent clinical experience.

Three years clinical experience, preferably on the unit, which the Registered Nurse takes Clinical Coordinator responsibilities.

Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. American Heart Association BLS required. ACLS, TNCC or equivalent within six months.

Demonstrated proficiency in at least five surgical specialties or PACU or Endoscopy preferred. Prior coordinating experience preferred.
