Sr. R&D Manager

Baxter seeks a Senior R&D Manager to lead Electrical, Firmware, and Mechanical Engineering teams in developing compliant medical devices. The role combines technical expertise in embedded systems with cross-functional leadership, reporting to the Senior Director of R&D at the Bellevue site.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop Electrical, Firmware, and Mechanical Engineering teams with focus on high-performance culture
• Oversee engineering execution for new product development and sustaining projects aligned with strategic priorities
• Ensure design best practices and compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate across Software, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Systems, and Marketing teams to deliver products successfully
• Drive design for manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability in partnership with operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline
• 10+ years product development experience with electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical hardware systems
• 2+ years engineering leadership managing multidisciplinary hardware development teams
• Proven experience with new product development from concept through commercialization
• Experience with medical device hardware in regulated environments
• Knowledge of design controls, requirements management, risk management, and verification/validation
• Familiarity with FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971 standards

Compensation: $152,000–$209,000 base annually
