Physician - Vascular (PRN)

Overview Acclaim Physician Group, Inc. (Acclaim) is a multi‑specialty medical group practice that partners with JPS Health Network. The combined organizations serve over 500 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants and deliver high‑quality, compassionate care across primary care, pediatrics, and specialties. JPS Health Network is the county health network and Level‑1 Trauma Center, serving the residents of Tarrant County for more than 100 years and providing an urban teaching hospital with 18 residency and fellowship programs. Job Summary The Vascular Surgeon provides specialized surgical care for disorders of the arterial, venous, and lymphatic systems, emphasizing emergency trauma cases. Responsibilities include participation in trauma team activations, performing complex vascular and endovascular procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to teaching and research at a Level‑1 Trauma Center. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Comfortable working in a large public/county facility and Level‑1 Trauma Center environment. Demonstrate working knowledge in vascular surgery and competency in surgical techniques, diagnosis, and treatment of arterial, venous, and endovascular conditions. Exhibit excellent interpersonal, verbal, and oral communication skills. Self‑directed and proactive in developing and participating in community activities and medical outreach. Collaborate with other vascular surgeons, trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, residents, APPs, and multidisciplinary teams to oversee and coordinate patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. Review patient medical charts to assist with diagnosis, treatment, and care management. Make appropriate patient referrals as necessary. Monitor guidelines for the management of care and ensure services comply with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group standards. Provide care education to patients and families. Deliver evidence‑based and compassionate care to all patients as assigned, improving outcomes and patient satisfaction. Maintain a collaborative environment with providers, clinical staff, and support staff. Support academic, educational, and research endeavors. Provide trauma call coverage and emergency vascular surgical services as assigned. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency in Vascular Surgery or General Surgery with Vascular Surgery fellowship training. Licensure & Certification: Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Vascular Surgery required. Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Texas. Experience: Experience in Level‑1 Trauma Center environment preferred. Academic teaching experience preferred. Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of advanced vascular and endovascular surgical techniques and care management across open and minimally invasive procedures. Knowledge of customer service principles. Knowledge of safety and security principles. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Skill in solving complex clinical problems and making critical decisions under pressure.
