RN - PCU

Registered Nurse - Intermediate Intensive Care (IICU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

The Registered Nurse will provide care in an Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (IICU), managing adult patients with a variety of medical needs including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases that require frequent monitoring and interventions. The nurse will work closely with interprofessional teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications, including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and respond to emergency situations.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Engage in patient education and support for families.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 completed travel assignment.
• Previous experience in IICU or ICU with an acuity of at least 1:3.
• Active RN license in South Carolina or a multistate license.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
