Lead Delivery Driver - Full Time

Position Summary The Delivery Driver Lead is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the delivery drivers and their operations. In this high‑impact role, you will serve as a liaison between long‑term care facilities and delivery staff and train all transport personnel. Key Responsibilities Coordinate work schedules and delivery routes. Monitor workflow to analyze patterns and trends. Review and set standards for staff. Provide timely and accurate delivery of medication, equipment, products and/or supplies into long‑term care facilities or patients’ homes. Conduct routine staff meetings. Respect the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information and property; access only the minimum amount of patient protected health information needed to perform your duties. Coordinate all special deliveries with the operations supervisor on duty. Maintain vehicles in good and safe condition to comply with DOT, OSHA, state and federal regulations, and Omnicare policies and procedures. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. Display behavior that exemplifies the employee code of conduct guidelines. Perform physical inventories. Sort all baskets from V2 according to facility units, location, and delivery times. Scan all medication pending for delivery. Prepare manifests and ancillary paperwork to correspond to the appropriate nursing facility. Retrieve medication totes from PVII pharmacists that are to be scanned for delivery (STATs included). Check bins before delivery departure for missed medication. During down times assist pharmacy floor for additional support. Scan manifests into the system for confirmation of delivery. Take important steps to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for patients, demonstrating ethical conduct and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Maintain the highest professional and ethical standards and full compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Required Qualifications Driver’s license in good standing with a clean driving record. Valid driver's license. Ability to use routing software (if applicable). Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle. Verifiable high school diploma or GED. Ability to concentrate on a task over a period without distraction. Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues. Active listening skills, fully attentive to others, asking relevant questions, and avoiding inappropriate interruptions. Ability to use math to solve problems such as calculating a day’s supply of a prescription. Recognition of potential problems and the ability to judge when something may go wrong. Decision‑making skills when faced with complex situations with several options. Preferred Qualifications Customer‑service orientation. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 hours Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is $18.50 – $38.82 per hour.
