Technical Data Reporting Analyst

Position Description As the data analysis and reporting team lead, this role will play an important role in delivering both instant and comprehensive reporting services. MMT's instant reporting services deliver critical asset integrity data at the speed that helps our customers act proactively, mitigate risk and maintain optimal operating conditions.Comprehensive testing services build on the reliability, efficiency, and accuracy of instant reporting to offer advanced data depth and analysis to meet the most rigorous regulatory requirements and instill unmatched operator confidence. Responsibilities Team Leadership & Management: Manage the reporting team's daily operations, assign and prioritize reporting workloads, and ensure timely delivery of all client reports. Serve as the primary point of escalation for the team to resolve complex technical or data inquiries. Mentorship & Training: Train and mentor new and existing personnel on standard operating procedures, best practices, and reporting tools. Quality Assurance & Data Validation: Act as the final quality control checkpoint by reviewing and approving field data and sample information. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data by performing QA/QC checks on reports and datasets. This involves verifying data integrity, identifying errors or inconsistencies, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Communication: Communicate with customers and the support team, resolving inquiries regarding field data, reports and analytical processes.Inform hardware and support teams of any hardware driven data issue Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the data scientist to review, discuss, and validate report conclusions. Interact with the software team to specify needed software improvements. Process Ownership & Optimization: Identify process bottlenecks and opportunities for automation. Continuously review and update standard procedures to maintain reporting standardization. Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Test and troubleshoot existing and emerging reporting tools. Investigate instances of unusable data, conducting root-cause analysis and developing reports outlining the issues and necessary mitigation steps. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, technical reporting, or a related engineering field Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Materials Science, or relevant field) or demonstrated equivalent knowledge of basic materials science and testing concepts. Instrumentation experience is desired Signal processing experience is desired Comfort with some coding languages (SQL, Python, R or similar) is nice to have Demonstrated experience leading a team and managing workflows is highly desired but not a must have Strong organizational skills Strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Job Location This position requires an on-site presence at our Natick, MA office. Compensation and Benefits MMT offers a competitive compensation package including base salary and a performance-based annual bonus. Annual base salary is targeted to be between $80,000 - $90,000.
