Meet the Team As a Consulting Engineer within the Cisco Customer Experience (CX) organization, you'll collaborate with your team to gain experience in real-world customer environments, making a tangible impact. Your role involves designing and delivering technology solutions to help Cisco customers achieve their business goals. You can specialize in one of five architectural teams: Data Center, Cloud, Security, Collaboration, or Enterprise Networking. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (Associate's or Bachelor's) Qualifying education should be in Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Networking, Computer Science or Engineering or a related field. Expected to continue enrollment in degree program following completion of the internship. Knowledge of IT systems, networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols, network devices and applications, and the OSI model. Proficient in Python, REST APIs, Automation. Preferred Qualifications Awareness and general understanding of how consumer applications work over the internet (e.g., Browser, Voice/Video calls, Social Networks, Streaming etc.). Comfortable with Data Analysis, crafting visualizations such as graphs and heatmaps. Why Cisco? Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows: .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
