About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med-Surg/Postpartum) – Kansas

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM. Primary focus on Med-Surg with cross-coverage to Postpartum as needed. Flexibility required based on daily census and unit needs.

• Critical Access Hospital setting in a rural community
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for Postpartum; approximately 1:3 for Med-Surg
• CPSI and Perigen EMR systems
• Casual dress code – any color scrubs accepted
• Opportunity to occasionally assume Charge Nurse responsibilities
• Local candidates welcome; previous travel experience preferred

Requirements:

• Active Kansas or Multistate RN license required at time of submission
• Previous Critical Access Hospital experience required
• Postpartum nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification, and NRP (all certifications must be through American Heart Association)
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Flu vaccination strongly preferred (religious and medical exemptions accepted with masking requirement during flu season)
