Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.Job DescriptionPerforms, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following protocols to assist in the physician diagnosis and treatment of illness and disease. Expected to utilize complex problem-solving skills in resolving clinical and instrument problems.QualificationsBachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university with 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) in biology including one semester in microbiology and 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) in chemistry including one semester in organic or biochemistry, which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the Bachelor's degreeCertified or eligible for categorical certification in medical technology by a recognized certifying body after one year of on-the-job experienceAbility to adopt H3W Leadership behaviors and become a strong H3W ambassadorExcellent interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and listening) skills and good leadership abilities.Ability to comply with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements by following established procedures in order to maintain a safe laboratory environment and to meet accreditation standards.With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
