Customer Service Representative - HVACGarber Heating & Air Conditioning - Morton, ILGarber Heating & Air Conditioning has been serving Morton and the surrounding communities since 1972. For more than 50 years, our team has built a reputation around dependable service, quality workmanship, and taking care of our customers.We are currently looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Customer Service Representative to join our office team. This is primarily a customer service and administrative support position. You will be one of the first points of contact for our customers, helping answer questions, schedule appointments, maintain customer information, and support our service department throughout the day.This is not a high-pressure sales position. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, communicates well, and can keep things organized in a busy service environment.Location: Morton, ILPay: $17.25-$23.00 per hour, depending on experienceSchedule: Monday-Friday, daytime hours with occasional overtime as neededWhat You'll DoAnswer incoming phone calls and provide friendly, professional customer service.Assist customers with questions regarding appointments, service calls, maintenance, and general company services.Schedule service and maintenance appointments.Gather accurate customer, equipment, and service information.Enter and update customer information in the company database.Communicate appointment details, scheduling changes, and technician arrival information to customers.Work closely with dispatchers and service technicians to help keep the daily schedule running smoothly.Respond to customer messages and follow up on outstanding requests.Contact customers when parts have arrived and assist with scheduling return visits.Follow up with customers regarding recommended or pending work.Assist with maintenance agreement scheduling and renewals.Accurately enter and categorize work-order information in company systems.Identify work orders with missing, incomplete, or unclear technician information and flag them for review.Explain available company services and maintenance options when appropriate.Provide light outbound customer follow-up; no aggressive cold calling or hard-sales environment.Prepare and organize service-related paperwork and customer documentation.Maintain accurate customer service records and service histories.Assist with service invoices, warranty paperwork, and other office responsibilities as needed.Greet and assist customers who visit the office.Communicate clearly with customers, technicians, managers, and other team members.Provide general administrative support to the service department.What We're Looking ForPrevious customer service experience.HVAC, plumbing, home-services, dispatch, or service-industry experience is helpful but not required.Strong telephone and interpersonal skills.Friendly and professional communication style.Ability to remain patient and helpful when working with customers who may be dealing with an urgent service issue.Strong organizational and follow-up skills.Comfortable working in a busy office environment with frequent phone calls and changing priorities.Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software.Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.High school diploma or equivalent.What You'll Earn$17.25-$23.00 per hour, depending on experienceFamily Health Insurance Plan - company pays 75%Employer-contributed Simple IRAPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysFamily-friendly work environmentIf you're a strong communicator who enjoys helping customers and wants to become part of an established local company, we'd like to hear from you.NO PHONE CALLS OR IN-OFFICE INQUIRIES ABOUT THIS POSITION.
