Electrical Engineer

Job TitleAbility to Obtain a Secret Clearance - Onsite Opportunity Pay $50-65/hr depending on experienceJob DescriptionThis role will serve as an instrumentation specialist responsible for designing and integrating with aircraft systems, mechanical or electrical, as needed to support the collection of data for FAA/MIL certification requirements. Additionally, the role will require maintaining NIST standards for calibration and verification of the measurements, documenting and controlling all calibrations, and supporting all hardware/software requirements both for the data acquisition systems and the IADS real-time display.Must-haves:Knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience with Computer Aided Engineering toolsFamiliarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsHands-on experience with aircraft instrumentation systemsExperience with flight testing sensor designs, specifications, and installations, including strain gauges, accelerometers, etcPreferred:Background in the Aerospace and Defense IndustryKnowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processesFamiliarity with telemetry systemsFamiliarity with communication protocols such as 1553, ARINC 429. CAN Bus, and EthernetFamiliarity with Curtiss Wright hardware and software IADSMust-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
