Senior Director Financial Reporting @ High-Growth Real Estate Investment Firm

Our client is a Global Real Estate Firm with a phenomenal environment. The role reports to the SVP, Controller, and CAO, and works with department heads, finance, treasury, tax, operators, and the head of the business.

This individual will lead the financial reporting team and serve as a business partner to finance, tax, and treasury functions.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and driving internal and external SEC reporting, including preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and footnotes.
• Managing external auditor coordination and internal stakeholder communication.
• Reviewing and managing SEC filings, including quarterly and annual reviews.
• Assisting the acquisitions team with the revenue sales cycle.
• Collaborating with legal, finance, tax, treasury, and asset operations teams to ensure alignment and integrity of financial reporting.
• Preparing ad-hoc technical accounting memos as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in economics or accounting.
• 12+ years of experience in public accounting or at a publicly traded company.
• REIT experience, strong GAAP, technical accounting, and SEC reporting expertise.
• CPA preferred.
