Position Summary

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, uniforms, and laundry items are cleaned, organized, and distributed in a timely and professional manner. This role supports the overall cleanliness and comfort of Camp Cold Springs by maintaining high sanitation and presentation standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, uniforms, and other camp laundry items

• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment safely and efficiently

• Sort laundry by color, fabric, and cleaning requirements

• Inspect items for stains, damage, or excessive wear and report issues to management

• Maintain inventory of linens and laundry supplies

• Keep laundry facilities clean, organized, and sanitary at all times

• Restock housekeeping closets and designated storage areas as needed

• Follow proper safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures

• Assist housekeeping team with additional cleaning duties when necessary

• Ensure timely turnaround of laundry to support daily camp operations

Qualifications

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience preferred but not required

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods of time

• Reliable attendance and positive attitude

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed

Working Conditions

• Indoor laundry facility with exposure to heat, humidity, cleaning chemicals, and noise from equipment

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and repetitive motions required
