About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) Experience: - 24 months of current operating room experience required - Circulating and operating room experience required - Scrub experience highly preferred - Experience in General, Davinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required - Additional experience in Client, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, and ENT preferred License: - Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: - AHA/Active American Heart Association or ARC/American Red Cross BLS required Must-Have: - Trauma Level I experience preferred - Trauma Level II experience required - No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 15 months Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the operating room. Quickly interviewing viable candidates is essential. The schedule includes Monday through Friday shifts, with possible weekend call responsibilities. There are 16 operating rooms, with an average caseload of 35-50 cases per day. Each turnover is expected to be less than 20 minutes. The operating room serves as a level 1 trauma center. Service lines include cardiac, neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gynecology, urology, general, pediatrics, and transplants. Scrub or circulate experience is preferred. The candidate may need to float across different campuses. On-call responsibilities will be required for weekends.
