Exciting Opportunity in Medical ICU!

Job Description:


- Join a vibrant team in a 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit!
- Experience a dynamic patient population, including:
- Severe respiratory failure (pneumonia, ARDS, COPD)
- Sepsis and septic shock requiring vasopressors and invasive monitoring
- Neurologic conditions (overdose, stroke)
- Complex metabolic and endocrine disorders (diabetic ketoacidosis, liver failure)
- Cardiac conditions like heart failure exacerbations
- Gastrointestinal and hepatic failure (GI bleeding, pancreatitis)

Your Role:
- Provide critical care management with a mix of 2:1 and 3:1 patient ratios.
- Float to our sister unit for a mix of step down and progressive level patients.
- Engage in weekend and holiday rotations as needed.

Typical Patient Needs:
- Continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring
- Management of invasive lines (arterial lines)
- NIH and TNK therapy
- Mechanical ventilation and advanced oxygen therapies
- Titrated IV medications (vasopressors, sedatives, insulin)
- Enteral or parenteral nutrition
- Frequent laboratory monitoring and complex medication regimens

Required Credentials:
- Valid nursing license
- Completion of necessary competency checks and certifications
