Nurse PractitionerThe Nurse Practitioner will be part of Essen growing medical professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced primary and/or specialty care to our patients. Responsibilities will include but not limited to, performing physical exams, recording patient medical history, creating care plans and administering diagnostic test.ResponsibilitiesTake medical historiesPerform physical exams, including skin cancer screening examsDiagnose and treat skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, and rosaceaOrder and interpret testsPerform biopsies, wide excisions, and cryotherapyDevelop treatment plansPrescribe medicationProvide information about preventive carePerform certain minimally and non-invasive cosmetic procedures, such as Botox injections, laser skin resurfacing, and mild or moderate chemical peelsAssist in surgeries, such as Mohs surgeryQualificationsMaster's Degree requiredActive New York license as a NP and at least 1 year of working experience as a NP in DermatologyCurrently New York Controlled Substance and Drug Enforcement RegistrationGraduate of an approved NP Program and a post-graduate training program in surgery or at least one-year equivalent work experienceBoard CertifiedEmergency Medicine / Family Practice/Acute CareDOT, BLS, ACLS PreferredBilingual a plus - SpanishProven work experience as a NP in DermKnowledge of EMR Systems preferred$130,000-$150,000Equal Opportunity EmployerEssen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.
