Job Description

This role is a hands-on General Warehouse Worker position focused on accurately packing, labeling, and inspecting products to ensure customers receive the correct items in excellent condition. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling coolers, dry ice, and various packaging materials while consistently following safety procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Place products into coolers and affix the correct labels to containers to ensure customers receive accurate and properly packed orders.
• Maintain and follow all company safety policies at all times while working in the warehouse.
• Visually inspect products, coolers, packaging materials, and dry ice for cleanliness and defects that could lead to damaged goods or poor presentation.
• Follow established procedures to reduce or eliminate product damage during packing and handling.
• Lift dry ice from bins onto scales, verify weights, and ensure they meet required specifications.
• Place dry ice from the conveyor into appropriately sized coolers according to order requirements.
• Reject defective dry ice based on weight, specifications, and packaging standards.
• Distinguish between different package shipping modes and affix the appropriate shipper labels to each order.
• Perform quality control inspections on coolers to confirm orders are correct, complete, and properly presented.
• Correct packing errors by obtaining and placing the proper product or premium into the cooler and recording the error accurately.
• Inspect coolers at a rate of approximately 75 coolers per hour to meet productivity expectations.
• Use tools and equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems to pick, pack, and move inventory.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, assembly, order picking, and inventory-related activities.
• Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality to support consistent warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 6+ months of experience as a general warehouse worker or in a similar warehouse, production, or fulfillment role.
• Experience with packing, picking, and warehouse packing in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to use RF scanners for order picking and inventory tasks.
• Experience with pallet jack operation and general material handling.
• Ability to perform quality control checks and follow detailed procedures for packing and labeling.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to understand and follow directions accurately.
• Consistent reliability in attendance and punctuality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with production, general labor, and general warehouse inventory tasks.
• Background in loading, unloading, assembly, labeling, and working as a fulfillment team member.
• Ability to work efficiently with conveyor belts and product moving at a high rate of speed.
• Comfort with handling dry ice and working with coolers and packaging materials.
• Strong attention to detail to identify defects and ensure orders are packed correctly.

Work Environment

You work in a large warehouse setting with conveyor belts and products moving at a high rate of speed, requiring focus and efficient work habits. The environment is normal warehouse temperature and is not a freezer setting. Shifts are 12 hours in length, typically from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, supporting extended, consistent work periods. You regularly handle coolers, dry ice, packaging materials, and use equipment such as RF scanners and pallet jacks while moving throughout the facility

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Omaha,NE.
