Front Door Receptionist

Job Summary

The Front Door Receptionist is the first point of contact for individuals entering the facility. The Front Door Receptionist is responsible for resident monitoring, greeting visitors as they enter the facility, conducting required screenings, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• Prior working experience as a receptionist preferred
• Must be able to pass a State of Minnesota Department of Human Services criminal background study, as well as a United States Office of the Inspector General exclusion search.

Essential Functions

• Greet visitors as they enter the facility
• Actively monitor residents
• Answering phone/directing calls to appropriate departments
• Supervise resident smoking room/ observe residents on monitored smoking
• Log all visitors entering facility
• Log all residents entering/exiting facility
• Maintain effective communication systems with all customers.
• Treats and ensures that residents are treated with respect and dignity
• Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential
• Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy
• Is familiar with fire and disaster regulations and procedures, participates in drills.

· Reports any equipment malfunctions to designated employee, including knowledge of Lockout/Tagout Policy and Procedure.

· Participates in Unit Quality & Safety Meetings, as directed.

• Other duties as assigned.
• This position does have exposure to cigarette smoke

Physical/Mental Requirements

Occasionally pushes or pulls residents 300-600 feet with weight resistance equivalent to 35 pounds. Occasionally twists, stoops, bends, squats, kneels Must be able to clearly communicate in English orally and in writing with residents and staff. Must be able to read small print in typed and written material

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.97 - $21.04 per hour
