- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and careful observations.
- Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate needs and long-term goals regarding communication, cognition, and swallowing.
- Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions centered on language, communication skills, fluency, voice training, and swallowing difficulties.
- Join forces with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop well-rounded treatment strategies.
- Provide guidance to patients and families, ensuring they remain actively engaged in the therapeutic process beyond clinical visits.
- Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions occasionally, guaranteeing seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organization regulations.
- Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed about advancements in the field, engaging in peer discussions, and attending relevant educational events.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution.
- A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods tailored for all age groups, along with a thorough understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing impairments.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, fostering rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
