Description

• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate needs and long-term goals regarding communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions centered on language, communication skills, fluency, voice training, and swallowing difficulties.
• Join forces with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop well-rounded treatment strategies.
• Provide guidance to patients and families, ensuring they remain actively engaged in the therapeutic process beyond clinical visits.
• Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions occasionally, guaranteeing seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organization regulations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed about advancements in the field, engaging in peer discussions, and attending relevant educational events.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution.
• A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
