Environmental Health & Safety Manager/LeadTeledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.We are presently seeking an Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager to oversee compliance programs, hazardous waste management, regulatory reporting, and advance facility initiatives and systems improvements. In this role, you'll drive safety initiatives, manage permits, and ensure a safe, efficient work environment for our world class organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Lead the development and implementation of EH&S programs and procedures to meet regulatory standardsLead accident investigations, including interviews, accident reporting, claim reporting and submission, medical clinic assistance, and communicating claim updatesCoordinate corrective actions as necessaryAssist with inspections (scheduled and unscheduled) by regulatory agencies and subsequent inspection closure requirementsResponsible for OSHA and EH&S recordkeeping, document retention, and filing including hazardous waste records, manifests, contingency plans, and SDS libraryEnsure hazardous waste is managed in accordance with Federal, State and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirementsOversee third party contractors and consultants as they relate to EH&S activitiesCoordinate product environmental compliance, including RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, etc.Perform job hazard analysis and the selection of personal protection equipmentCoordinate and create facility-specific safety training using internal resources or consultantsMaintain compliance calendar to include required audits and training schedulesCoordinate local Emergency Response Teams (ERT)Responsible for purchasing safety equipment, first aid supplies, etc.Requirements:Associates degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Sciences (or equivalent) and 5+ years of experience of EH&S in a manufacturing setting or Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Sciences (or equivalent) and 1+ year of related experienceIntimate knowledge of OSHA regulationsPrevious experience with program development and management, including: LOTO, Accident Reporting, Accident Investigation, Fire Safety, Fall Protection, and Electrical Safety is preferredExperience with EHS internal auditing/corrective action development is preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to partner with management and staff.Ability to work with various computer programs to manage data reporting & trackingProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointPhysical requirements:Ability and flexibility to support multiple site manufacturing facilities (Trenton and Montgomeryville) to maintain, implement, and coordinate safety programs, training, etc.This position is a physically active role – must have the ability to climb ladders for roof accessMust be able to conduct daily and weekly audits walking and/or standing in facility up to 8 hours per dayMust be able to push and/or pull carts up to 50 lbs.Must be willing and able to do other duties as assignedCitizenship requirements:Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. CitizenWhat can Teledyne offer YOU?
