Plasma Center Nurse- RN

Job Description BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is looking for a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). The role involves supporting plasma center operations, including donor eligibility, adverse event management, laboratory results review, and providing center level support of environmental, health, and safety (EHS). The Medical Support Specialist reports to the Plasma Center Manager. About the Role Every day, donations are collected with high quality to become life‑changing medicines. The position requires a commitment to customer service, quality, and regulation compliance. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent. Conduct AIDS education and confidential self‑exclusion. Interview donors and assess medical history and eligibility requirements. Perform physical examinations, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities. Consult the Center Physician or Medical Affairs regarding unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation required by occupational health/ER. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support pandemic investigations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including graduated‑equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Current licensed or certified in the state of assignment: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). Current CPR and AED certification. State IV therapy requirements satisfied. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
