Full Time Assistant District Attorney

Perry County is accepting applications for a Full Time Assistant District Attorney in the District Attorney’s Office. This position is responsible to prosecute cases of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and other cases as assigned by the Perry County District Attorney. Primary Duties Research legal issues relevant to individual cases Draft and edit legal motions, briefs, and written arguments Review case files, motions, briefs and/or appeals to prepare appeal defenses Argue cases before the Appellate Courts Attend trials, preliminary hearings, motions hearings, and other court appearances for purposes of prosecuting cases Prepare cases for trials and other court hearings, including negotiations with attorneys and interviewing witnesses Assist and advise police officers on the filing of charges and case investigation Qualifications Doctoral degree and a graduate of an accredited law school with 2–5 years of relevant experience Admitted into the Pennsylvania State Bar Compensation Compensation includes a starting salary of $36.05/hour with consideration for experience.
