This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. As the business grows, we are looking for a professional to handle corporate accounting across the full transaction cycle - from property acquisition through renovation to sale. We are seeking someone with hands-on U.S. accounting experience who can also support reporting to our Japan headquarters and investors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-day and month-end bookkeeping (AP/AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries) Accounting for each stage of the property lifecycle: Capitalization of acquisition costs (real estate held for sale / inventoryaccounting) Tracking and capitalizing renovation costs, and allocating projectcosts Recording gain/loss on sale and processing closingstatements Monthly and quarterly closing (trial balance preparation, account analysis and reconciliation) Preparing reports for Japan HQ (translating U.S. GAAP-based figures into the format required by Japan-side reporting) Assisting with cash flow management (payment scheduling, cash needs forecasting) Vendor invoice processing and payment execution Supporting internal controls and process improvementinitiatives Other accounting-related tasks as directed by the CFO and management team

QUALIFICATIONS

Approximately 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience Practical experience with international accounting (IFRS, AP/AR, month-endclose) Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite,QuickBooks Detail-oriented and able to work independently

PREFERRED

Business-level communication in both Japanese and English (including report writing)

EDUCATION
