Position Overview The City of Napa Community Resources Department has five immediate openings for the position of PT Recreation Leader – After School Adventures. This is a part‑time, non‑benefited, temporary position available to candidates 18 years or older who have an interest working with children. The role is not covered by the City’s Civil Service System and is considered at‑will, with no benefits except participation in the mandatory temporary employee retirement plan. Responsibilities Plan and lead activities for children 6–12 years old; interact with parents and school staff; plan educational enrichment activities; provide positive discipline as needed. Work Hours Monday–Friday, 2:00–6:00 pm and Wednesday 12:00–6:00 pm. Qualifications Instructional Aide certification required (testing and support will be provided). CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire. Interest and experience with children and a desire to be a positive role model. Minimum qualifications as evaluated by the Department. Selection Process Applications will be evaluated for satisfaction of minimum qualifications and relevance of educational coursework, training, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Candidates meeting minimum qualifications will be called for further consideration and may be required to sign authorization and release forms for background investigation.
