DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Part Time Van Drivers support consumers by ensuring safe, comfortable, and reliable travel throughout the county. This role blends independence with meaningful daily interaction. As a Part Time Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:
- Safe Transportation: Provide daily travel in a county vehicle while ensuring comfort and courtesy for all consumers
- Schedule Adaptation: Adjust to changes in routes, timing, and travel needs throughout the day
- Consumer Assistance: Help senior adults and wheelchair-dependent individuals
- Clear Communication: Use strong person to person skills and two way radio communication to support safe and timely service
- Professional Conduct: Maintain reliability, patience, and a positive approach during all consumer interactions
- Part-time employment, approximately 14 to 21+ hours per week
- Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with limited hours on Saturday.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- No suspension of driver's license within the last three years.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
