Overview:

Role: Slack Integration Developer

Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 6 Months

Important Note

This is an onsite role. Candidates who are willing to travel to San Diego, CA for one week every month can also be considered. No travel reimbursement will be provided.

Project Overview

We are helping establish Slack Enterprise Grid for the first time and position Slack as a core "Work OS" platform across the organization. The engagement includes defining Slack governance, security controls, workspace architecture, app and integration management, workflow automation, and operational processes.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Slack Integration Developer with strong expertise in Slack APIs, custom app development, and SaaS integrations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable Slack integrations and automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom Slack apps and bots using:
• Slack APIs
• Events API
• Web API
• Bolt Framework
• Build and manage integrations between Slack and enterprise SaaS platforms such as:
• GitHub (PR notifications, CI/CD alerts)
• Jira (issue tracking, ticket automation)
• Confluence (knowledge sharing)
• ServiceNow (incident alerts)
• Develop bi-directional integrations for real-time data synchronization
• Configure and support Slack Enterprise Grid implementation
• Implement workflow automation and operational processes within Slack
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish governance and security standards

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Slack API and Slack App Development
• Experience developing Slack bots and workflow automation
• Hands-on integration experience with:
• GitHub
• Jira
• Confluence
• ServiceNow
• Similar SaaS platforms
• Experience with REST APIs and event-driven integrations
• Strong understanding of enterprise collaboration tools and automation
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Slack Enterprise Grid implementations
• Knowledge of Slack governance and security best practices
• Experience working in enterprise collaboration or WorkOS initiatives
• Familiarity with CI/CD integrations and automation workflows
