Electrician Helper

Title: Electrician Helper (ID:1681) Location: Charleston, SC Department: Electrical Essential Duties & Responsibilities Accurately install wire, conduit, panel boards, fixtures, devices, pre‑fab assemblies, boxes, and breakers according to job specifications and NEC. Directly work with other electricians and helpers as part of a team. Install electrical distribution and automation equipment: switchgear, panels, transformers, PLC control cabinets and VFDs. Demonstrate proficiency with circuitry of the trade to include power, control, and motor terminations. Bend conduit by hand and with benders. Capable of digging trenches, either using hand tools or power equipment. These duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the company. Qualifications and Requirements Ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges. Accurate basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and use of measurements. Effective communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal). Self‑motivation, organization, prioritization, and management. Proficient knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines. High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or 1‑3 years of experience or combination of education and experience preferred. Physical Demands Regularly required to talk or hear; stand; walk; climb; lift and carry up to 60 lbs; crawl; kneel; push and reach; use hands to fingers, handle, and feel. Work Environment Exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, extreme conditions at construction job sites; noise level may be loud; work performed in outside weather conditions.
