This position may be referred to as a Food Runner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the order and cleanliness of the kitchens facilities up to government and company sanitation standardsClean all kitchen surfaces sweep and mop kitchen floor, put away dishes, pots, pans, organize food, clean out freezers and remove trashEnsure all dishes are adequately sanitized by maintaining required water temperature and chemical levelsWash and dry dishes, either by hand or using dishwasher, as well as polish silverAssist cook with food preparation including but not limited to organizing refrigerator and freezer, chopping vegetables, washing fruit, defrosting meat, prepping sauces and marinadesPrepare full dishes such as salads per direction of supervisorAvailable to work overtime when requiredOther duties as assigned by Manager Safety and Environmental Responsibilities Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
