QC Analytical Chemist - Group Leader

Eurofins PSS seeks a QC Analytical Chemist Group Leader to oversee GMP testing of pharmaceutical materials and lead a team of 3-5 chemists in Albany, NY. The role involves conducting analytical testing, managing investigations, and balancing technical work with team leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of 3-5 analytical chemists
- Conduct and review GMP-compliant testing of pharmaceutical samples using multiple analytical techniques
- Support method transfers, qualifications, and investigations of out-of-specification results
- Serve as primary contact between client and internal teams for technical and operational matters
- Oversee reference standard qualification, elemental impurities, and residual solvent testing
Requirements
- BS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 3+ years GMP/GLP testing experience; or MS with 1+ years experience
- Minimum one year hands-on experience with Liquid Chromatography, Conductivity, and Titration
- Demonstrated proficiency with at least two analytical techniques: NMR, GC, ICP-OES, IR, RI, UV-Vis, or TGA
- Thorough knowledge of GMP, ICH, and 21 CFR regulations
- Prior leadership experience including training, mentoring, or industry management
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Compensation: $35.00-$38.00 per hour based on education, leadership, and related industry experience
