Job Details Job Title: Bilingual French/Bambara Linguist - Travel Only Job Category: Language Services Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Outside Continental US Opportunity CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly‑cleared candidates for French and Bambara language professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. This is a Travel Only Role. You will be deployed for 4 to 8 weeks at a time and return for 4 to 8 weeks. Responsibilities Accurately translate reports/texts in electronic and hard‑copy formats, capturing factual and abstract language with nuanced implications. Capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements present in the text. Provide consecutive interpretation; occasionally simultaneous interpretation, with understanding of one or more regional dialects. Identify and summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts. Use computer skills, including MS Office, to produce written translations and products; perform basic internet research. Present briefings with excellent English‑language verbal communication skills. Transcribe audio or internet materials accurately and expressively, preparing reports with high quality English written communication. Qualifications Must be a US Citizen. Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph. Successfully pass an advanced English test. Achieve ILR Level 3 or higher on a target language translation test. Possess an active passport and be able to deploy; this is a travel‑only role. Minimum five (5) years’ professional experience in translation, transcription, or interpretation. In‑depth knowledge of geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language areas. Master MS Office and internet research skills. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Previous military experience. Good understanding of one or more regional dialects. Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation abilities.
