Registered Nurse (RN) Orthopedics Job Type: Part Time | 0.6 | Day Shift Wage scale: $42.14 - $78.11 per hour This is a Union Hospital. About the Department Our Orthopedics department is a 10‑bed unit serving a pediatric population. It values teamwork, schedule flexibility, and professional support. 10 beds 1:5 nurse ratio 12 hour shifts How you'll contribute Plan, coordinate, and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Medical Surgical Orthopedics unit. Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Document patient care and monitor patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs. Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients. Participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Current RN license in state of practice. BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred. 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required.
