Lead an affordable housing community as a LIHTC Property Manager in Bakersfield, CA!

We're seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (Section 42) community. This role blends operations leadership with the specialized compliance that Tax Credit properties require.

What you'll be doing:

• Oversee all daily operations and lead, train, and support the on-site team

• Manage leasing, waitlist administration, and unit availability

• Complete income certifications at move-in and annual recertifications

• Maintain accurate, audit-ready tenant files in line with Section 42 rules

• Monitor compliance with the regulatory agreement and state housing finance agency requirements

• Handle rent collection, ledgers, and delinquency follow-up

• Build positive resident relationships and resolve concerns professionally

• Coordinate maintenance and vendors and conduct property inspections

• Use property management software (Yardi, RealPage, or OneSite) for operations and reporting

What we're looking for:

• +1 year as a Property Manager on LIHTC / Tax Credit properties

• Strong knowledge of Section 42 income certification, recertification, and the next-available-unit rule

• Familiarity with Tax Credit compliance and 8823 prevention

• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills

• Solid understanding of Fair Housing requirements

• TCS, C3P, HCCP, or COS certification a plus (Tax Credit deals layered with tax-exempt bonds welcome)

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Pay: $22.00-$24.00/hour, paid weekly
