About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Data Architecture to serve as a hands-on technology leader with a primary focus on defining, building, and scaling enterprise data platforms and architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the migration from a SQL Server-based architecture to a modern Databricks lakehouse, with a strong emphasis on reducing technical debt and platform costs while enhancing scalability and performance. This role requires a strategic approach to data architecture, including the establishment of standards and governance practices, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical designs. The Vice President will also be instrumental in leading data-centric initiatives that support SaaS applications, ETL processes, and AI/ML enablement, and must have a proven track record in leading or managing technical teams. Candidates for the Vice President, Data Architecture position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for technical certifications in Azure and related disciplines. A minimum of 10 years' experience in data architecture and a strong background in Azure-based data platforms are essential. Experience in healthcare, particularly in revenue cycle, and with secure or regulated data environments, is highly valued. The role demands a leader with core competencies in strategic data leadership, technical judgment, and cross-functional collaboration, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex technical topics. The ideal candidate will be a player-coach leader, adept at balancing executive-level ownership with hands-on technical contribution, and will have a proven ability to lead teams through platform transitions and change.
