CNC Machinist Elyria,OH, US 0 4 days ago Job Description Experience Mid Level Salary $25 - $35 per hour Job Details Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements. Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running. Maintain machinery, keep records of run times, and perform routine checks on output. Perform safety inspections and follow safety rules and regulations. Collaborate with the team to improve processes and achieve team objectives. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC machinist. Proficient in G-Code programming and Mastercam software. Experience with 5 Axis and Mill machines. Strong understanding of blueprints and mechanical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree from a technical school is preferred. Certification or training as a CNC operator is a plus. Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy objects as necessary. Commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.
