Restaurant Manager

Location: Times Square, NY

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Restaurant Manager to join the management team of a busy, high-volume full-service restaurant in Manhattan. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional who understands how to lead a team, deliver outstanding guest experiences, and maintain strong operational and financial performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure a smooth and efficient service.
2. Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house team members.
3. Maintain high standards for guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and overall presentation.
4. Act as manager-on-duty and provide strong leadership during busy shifts.
5. Monitor staffing, scheduling, labor costs, and employee productivity.
6. Assist with controlling food, beverage, labor, and operating expenses.
7. Review sales and operational results and work with leadership to achieve financial goals.
8. Recruit, interview, train, and develop restaurant employees and supervisors.
9. Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals, promotions, and operational expectations.
10. Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure issues are resolved quickly.
11. Partner closely with the culinary team to maintain consistency in food quality and service.
12. Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and company standards.
13. Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, and loss-prevention procedures.
14. Maintain strong communication between all departments throughout each shift.
15. Support private parties, large groups, special events, and high-volume business periods.
16. Help create a positive, professional, and team-oriented restaurant culture.
17. Lead by example and remain visible and engaged on the restaurant floor.

Qualifications

1. 2+ years of restaurant management experience.
2. Experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment strongly preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, staffing, scheduling, and cost control.
4. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse team.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction.
9. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, energetic restaurant leader who enjoys a lively environment and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences. You should be comfortable leading a large team, managing the details of daily operations, and stepping in wherever needed to ensure a successful service.

Experience with Latin cuisine, high-volume dining, nightlife, entertainment, or event-driven restaurants is a plus, but strong restaurant management experience is the priority.
