Manager - DEA Compliance

Manager of Environmental Health & Safety and DEA Compliance for a manufacturing site at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Cincinnati. The role involves leading compliance and safety teams, developing people, improving processes, and ensuring regulatory adherence across EHS and controlled-substance programs.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop EHS and DEA Compliance teams with clear priorities and accountability
Oversee site compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local EHS and controlled-substance regulations
Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency while maintaining regulatory controls
Manage investigations, corrective actions, and regulatory readiness for inspections and audits
Establish metrics and use data to identify risks, prioritize resources, and measure performance

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in EHS, life sciences, business, engineering, or related field
5+ years progressive leadership in EHS, regulatory compliance, or highly regulated manufacturing
Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams through organizational change
Knowledge of EHS and DEA-controlled substance regulatory requirements
Strong analytical skills with ability to use metrics and data for decision-making
Ability to influence across organizational levels and collaborate cross-functionally
Pharmaceutical or life sciences experience preferred
