Senior Software Engineer - Front End Why This is an Exciting Role: As a Senior Software Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), the selected candidate will be responsible for: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects Facilitate alignment and clarity on goals, outcomes, and timelines Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements Work closely with the Chief Engineer to design feature specifications and build products Conduct design and code reviews Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors Demonstrate good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently without guidance Identify and drive changes as needed for assigned codebase, product area, or systems What Makes BI&A Different: As a fully owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, BI&A offers an optimal mix of a small company environment with exceptional opportunities supported by a large corporation. Experience and Qualifications: To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Education and Years of Experience: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited course of study and 20+ years of professional experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree Required Qualifications: An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph Experience with consuming and writing web services Experience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software components Experience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentation Experience working in an Agile software development environment Experience with Jira and Confluence Ensuring quality of all developed and modified software Experience in ensuring software development adheres to 508 Compliance standards for accessibility Desired Qualifications: Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Experience with: Git Docker/Kubernetes HAProxy Nginx Node.js Angular React NoSQL databases Relational databases Telework/Remote Availability: Hybrid work authorized, up to 16 hours per week, depending on team and workload Work Location(s): Annapolis Junction, MD Summary Pay Range: Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.
