Senior Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing, private equity-backed organization. This position offers a combination of technical accounting, financial reporting, and finance responsibilities. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience managing complex accounting activities, and the ability to strengthen accounting processes while supporting broader financial operations. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules. Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to complex accounting transactions. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy. Collaborate with finance and leadership teams on financial reporting and business initiatives. Qualifications At least 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles. Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and strengthen financial operations. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Compensation & Benefits Salary up to $95,000, depending on experience. Hybrid work schedule. Comprehensive benefits package.
