Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population in a cardiac stepdown/overflow IMCU setting with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 32-bed unit
• Manage cardiac arrhythmias including stable A-Fib, SVT, and Bradycardia, and support cardioversion procedures
• Administer and monitor continuous IV drip medications including cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips
• Care for patients presenting with CHF, chest pain, renal conditions, pulmonary conditions (COPD, pulmonary edema), PE, DVT, DKA, and post-cardiac cath including TR Band management
• Support surgical patients (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, biliary drains) and occasional vascular, ortho, or CVA overflow patients within scope of practice
• Float within the facility within scope of practice as needed; on-call requirements are rare with a 2-hour response time expectation

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state required at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Prior travel nursing experience required - must be confirmed upon submission
• Demonstrated experience managing continuous IV drip medications (cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips) required - must be confirmed upon submission
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

• Proficiency with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system preferred
• Familiarity with SBAR communication framework
• Experience with TR Band management and basic arrhythmia interpretation
• Broad Med-Surg skill set in addition to cardiac stepdown competencies
