Location: Madison Heights, MI Shift: 1st   Pay: Up to $20/hr

Job Summary

Are you looking to work somewhere that wants you for the long haul and gives you the opportunity to grow while building your skills and knowledge? We are seeking a Mill Worker in Madison Heights, MI to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with room for growth. The ideal candidate will have previous mill or woodworking experience and be comfortable using hand and power tools while maintaining quality and production standards. After your time with Workbox Staffing, you will be considered for hire-in!

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Mill Worker, your core responsibilities will include:

• Operate and support mill production processes
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Measure and verify materials using tape measures and basic measuring tools
• Perform woodworking and fabrication tasks as needed
• Follow production instructions and maintain quality standards
• Assist with material movement and production support tasks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Support additional production duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

Qualifications:
• Previous mill working experience required
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and write in English

Skills:
• Knowledge and use of hand and power tools
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Woodworking experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
