We are seeking an experienced Branch Office Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our legal support departments and branch office. This role is responsible for legal staff management, recruiting, training, performance oversight, budgeting support, office systems, facilities, and operational initiatives. The Branch Office Administrator will work closely with office leadership, practice group leaders, Human Resources, Finance, and other administrative teams to ensure efficient operations, strong staff support, and exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the LAA and Paralegal departments, including staffing, workflow coordination, resource allocation, and delegation of assignments. Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, compensation recommendations, training, mentoring, and professional development for legal support staff. Manage employee relations matters, including performance reviews, disciplinary issues, dispute resolution, overtime and time-off tracking, and annual compensation recommendations. Partner with Finance, Human Resources, practice group leaders, and office leadership on budgeting, profitability analysis, performance appraisals, employee handbook updates, and implementation of firm policies and procedures. Support office operations including billing guideline compliance, records and library oversight, facilities usage, technology implementation, department meetings, and cross-office coordination. Assist with client service and marketing support, help implement best practices and training initiatives, and provide broader administrative and operational support as needed. Qualifications Associate degree in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 10 years of law firm experience, including 5 years in a management role. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with legal billing systems, trust accounting, and electronic invoice submission platforms. Knowledge of legal office operations, personnel practices, and general technical support. CLM designation is a plus. This position requires a professional who can work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, vendors, and outside contacts in a fast-paced office environment.
