What You’ll Do: Technicians are responsible for diagnosing truck problems and performing truck repairs. Technicians create repair plans and fill out parts requisitions for needed parts. They are also responsible for tagging all warranty parts that are replaced and for turning in parts with core value. Technicians must also communicate updates to their Foreman daily and must maintain toolboxes organized and workstations clean and safe. Responsibilities & Skills Assessment: Performs oil change Performs brake inspections and works on brakes Performs general maintenance of the service department including sweeping, cleaning and other maintenance tasks as needed Basic chassis repairs Basic engine repairs Able to perform chassis Remove & Install Able to perform preventative and/or maintenance Competent in Internal/factory warranty processes Comfortable with major vendor/factory Can perform most chassis repairs Can perform engine accessory repairs Able to perform complete engine Remove & Install Complete engine repairs Complex chassis repairs Knowledgeable on all vehicle component repairs HVAC Proficient on all vehicle component repairs Able to diagnose all vehicle component failures Competent in root cause failure analysis Vibration analysis Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent is preferred Mechanical aptitude Dedication to Excellence Motivated Team Oriented Desire to Succeed Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
