Traverse Mountain Family Dental is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice in Lehi, Utah. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality preventive and periodontal care while creating a positive and supportive environment for both patients and staff.

As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and patient-focused hygienist who is passionate about oral health and education. Our doctors and hygienists work collaboratively to diagnose and treat periodontal conditions while staying current with American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) guidelines and best practices in dental hygiene.

About the Position

The Dental Hygienist will play an essential role in delivering preventive care, supporting periodontal health, and educating patients on maintaining optimal oral hygiene. This position is ideal for a motivated hygienist who values teamwork, patient relationships, and a well-organized clinical environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Welcome and greet patients while ensuring a comfortable experience
Perform initial oral health screenings and periodontal charting
Identify oral health conditions including gingivitis and periodontal disease
Provide appropriate dental hygiene treatments and preventive care
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments according to infection control standards
Follow OSHA and infection control protocols
Accurately document patient care and maintain dental charts and records

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
1 year experience preferred
Active Utah Dental Hygienist license in good standing
Knowledge of dental practice management software preferred
Strong communication skills and commitment to patient care
