Clinical Lab Scientist, Blood Bank (Per Diem, Nights)

Work Location Orange, California Work Shift Night – 08hrs (United States of America) Job Summary The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) is a licensed medical technologist whose primary responsibility is to perform laboratory testing on patient samples. The CLS conducts preanalytical, analytical, and post‑analytical processes and is responsible for quality control, equipment maintenance, reporting, and documentation. Pay Range Minimum $59.00 – Maximum $60.00 per hour. Experience Required: Minimum six months of clinical laboratory experience. Preferred: Two years of clinical laboratory experience. Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science. Special Skills Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficient computer skills. Ability to communicate positively, professionally, and courteously under pressure. Effective verbal and written communication in English. Critical thinking, multitasking, prioritization, problem solving, accuracy, and attention to detail. Work independently with minimal supervision. Licensure Required: Clinical Lab Scientist – CA (CLS); Limited Licensed CLS may be accepted in lieu of a General CLS. Preferred: American Society of Clinical Pathology certification. Work Environment Functional demand is sedentary with very light energy level. Requires lifting up to 20 lbs., repetitive motion, and handling of patient specimens. Physical activity includes bending, reaching, walking, and standing as part of routine duties.
