AE - Merchandising Team Leader (Assistant Manager)

YOUR ROLE

As the full‑time Merchandising Team Leader, you serve as the Store Team Leader’s "go-to" in developing and implementing the store’s merchandising strategy. Your passion is training and coaching your team to become great merchants delivering AEO brand visual standards daily. Through your leadership the team always nails floorset execution and excels in merchandising and marketing brand standards. You ensure the store is always “guest ready” through effective replenishment and represent our company values by bringing your authentic self to work every day. Your Responsibilities You have a passion for driving sales: As a key Leader on Duty, you maximize fitting‑room and sales‑floor productivity, build guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class guest experience, analyze reporting and daily trends, and contribute to the store’s overall financial success. You help develop short‑ and long‑term business plans to drive key KPIs. As a merchandising innovator, you coach your team to deliver an outstanding guest experience, maintain an ever‑representative store, lead day‑to‑day merchandising, handle sell‑through adjustments and replenishment, and identify new merchandising opportunities. You are a people leader who motivates and inspires through AEO’s core values, holds the team accountable to our customer service standards, and models leadership at all times. You have an eye for talent and a love of training; you recruit and hire strong talent, and you develop and maintain a high‑performing team. You value teamwork: you provide ongoing performance feedback through real‑time coaching, team touch‑bases, development plans, performance reviews, and celebrate successes to drive engagement. You are an operational innovator who executes and improves daily operations, supports visual standards throughout the store, and keeps fitting rooms guest‑ready.
