Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and ESI-level prioritization for a diverse patient population ranging from neonates through older adults in a 16-bed Emergency Department
• Provide resuscitation, trauma stabilization, and critical care interventions for conditions including cardiac events, sepsis, respiratory emergencies, neurological presentations, and multiple co-morbidities
• Operate and monitor equipment including Code Carts (Adult and Pediatric), defibrillators, GE Cardiac Monitors (B450), ECG, and Rapid Transfuser
• Document and manage patient care using the Paragon ED electronic health record system
• Support fast track, splinting, and immobilization procedures as needed within the department
• Occasional float to other units may be required based on departmental needs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with moderate sedation in both adult and pediatric populations
• Proficiency in cardioversion and transcutaneous pacing
• Familiarity with Acute Stroke Ready protocols and Chest Pain Center standards
