Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver culturally responsive and effective individual, couples, and family therapy sessions through telehealth platforms, ensuring each session is tailored to the unique needs of clients.

• Accurately complete clinical documentation in line with organizational policies and state regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessment reports.

• Engage in regular consultations with fellow therapists and clinical staff to discuss patient cases, share insights, and participate in ongoing professional development activities.

• Adhere strictly to ethical standards and compliance practices, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in every interaction.

• Facilitate workshops or group therapy sessions that support community engagement and provide a familial atmosphere for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on diverse individuals and families struggling with various emotional and relational issues, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, trauma, marital discord, and familial conflicts. Our inclusive practice values every client’s unique background, and we strive to ensure all services are culturally sensitive and tailored to reflect the diverse needs of the populations we serve in Smithtown and surrounding areas.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess an active Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of New York. You must also hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. An active malpractice insurance policy is required to ensure that best practices are upheld and patient safety is prioritized.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient facility as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist is preferred. Experience with teletherapy modalities, as well as familiarity with culturally responsive care practices, will be highly regarded.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
