Work Environment

This position is based in an onsite outpatient office located in South Hill, Virginia, where you will work alongside two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. Our teamwork and collaborative approach ensure that every patient receives the best possible care tailored to their individual needs. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing ample opportunity to balance professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the objectives and rehabilitation needs of each patient.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, allowing for focused, high-quality treatment.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at reducing pain and increasing mobility.
• Administer cost-effective physical therapy treatments while proposing alternatives to medications when appropriate.
• Create detailed and customized treatment plans that incorporate a range of therapeutic techniques to enhance recovery.
• Design specialized fitness and wellness programs to promote health, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment journey to ensure they remain engaged and optimally functional.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes, monitor patient progress diligently, and maintain clear, effective communication with patients and staff.
• Accurately document all services provided in compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in South Hill, VA.
• No history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation best practices.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing integrative exercise programs for various patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
