Physical Therapist Assistant -Anderson

Responsibilities Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, a Physical Therapist Assistant will be responsible for determining appropriate patient goals and developing treatment plans. You will modify treatment plans as needed and utilize appropriate treatment techniques. The position primarily serves our orthopedic patients and some neurologically impaired patients. Aquatic therapy is provided by this PTA two afternoons per week and the therapist can be trained in aquatic therapy and must have an interest in working with pool patients. A strong sports rehab background is beneficial. Qualifications Associate of Science Degree from an accredited program is required. Must have a valid Indiana Physical Therapy Assistant license or temporary permit. Previous PTA experience in an Acute or Outpatient setting. Must be knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends. Effectively provide quality service to impaired individuals and communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers. Have an ability to incorporate a basic understanding of behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the adult patient.
